Beihai park is not only a park. It is also loaded with history and interesting buildings. Lots of places to relax and chill out, but also plenty of history. It has the space to breathe, and the wisdom to do so slowly.
Just as in the the forbidden palace, there is also a Nine Dragon Wall. Just a few steps away are Five Dragon Pavilions from the Ming Dynasty connect with each other via zigzagging bridges. They look out over the lake, and are often filled with competing musical performances. A bit further away is Xiao Xi Tian temple from the Qing Dynasty.
